How WhatsApp Message Ruins Osun News Director’s Career; Chances Becoming PS Gets Threatned
The suspension of Sola Ajiboye , the Director of News(TV) for Osun State Broadcasting Service (OSBC) has
become talk of the town in the state.
The
said suspension was said to be inevitable due to a malicious message being
spread by Ajiboye across some social media platforms against the state governor
Rauf Aregbesola.
TimeNewsNg however made a background investigation and
gathered these facts about the whole situation.
An impeccable source who has in-depth knowledge on the issue
confided in TimenewsNg that truly Ajiboye mistakenly posted this message but it was just
on one platform and not several platforms as claimed.
The source went further to explain the mystery behind the “escape”
of the message from Ajiboye’s phone. Sola Ajiboye though as a director of news,
have so minimal knowledge in the operations of smart phones which would have
explained the reason why the forwarded message found its way to a Whatsapp
platform.
The source further explained that there was no way Ajiboye
would have forwarded such message to anybody, not to talk of a social media
platform. Ajiboye is reported to be a staunch lover of Rauf Aregbesola.
Another
reason why Sola Ajiboye would never have forwarded such message according to
the source was that Sola Ajiboye is seeing as a permanent secretary in-waiting
having passed the PS cadre exam ahead of other three people from OSBC. “It
would be foolhardy for someone who is expected to become permanent secretary to
now forward such message against the man who will confirm him” the source
submitted.
In the face of the suspension however, the state government was
said to have contravened the civil service code.
Expatiating on this, the
source opined that a warning letter would have suffices for this kind of misdemeanor
and not suspension altogether, even as there is fear that the suspension may
lead to outright dismissal if the state government decides to go all out against
Sola Ajiboye.
