Melaye Graduated From ABU-Vice Chancellor

The senate committee on ethics and privileges have opened up an investigation into allegations of certificate fraud brought against senator dino Melaye by former leader of the senate Ali Ndume.

Answering questions on the allegations, senator Melaye said he graduated from the ahmadu bello  university in Zaria but used the name Daniel Jonah Melaye which he change after graduating from institution.

Asked if he knew the senator under investigation, the vice chancellor of Ahmadu  Bello  University Proffessor Ibrahim Garba said dino Melaye then known as Daniel Jonah Melaye did obtain his first degree from the university with a third class.

The committee chairman wasted no time asking senator dino to affirm or deny any of the claims any part of the allegations leveled against him by the former leader of the senate Ali Ndume.

Senator Melaye in his testimony claimed he was before now known as Daniel Jonah Melaye but changed his name through a proper process of the court.

Vice chancellor Ibrahim Garba taking the seat revealed that a certain Daniel Jonah Melaye now known as Dino Melaye did obtain a degree from the university.

The petitioner who came late to the hearing told the committee that he did not petition senator dino but was only raising a point of order and that if the Vice Chancellor confirmed that senator dino did in fact obtain a degree then he was comfortable with that.
