VIDEO: Flood Hits Central Area Of Osogbo

The aftermath of the torrential rainfall which greeted Osogbo for the second day consecutively after much expectation is the flood which hits the central Area of the town.

In what is becoming annual flooding experienced at the freedom park area of the town, this, just like every other flood which happened years earlier paralyzed commercial as shops and adjoining houses were filled with water.

While the state government blames this on the throwing of dirts in the waterways, residents and shop owners say dredging of the water channels is not enough but the government should find a lasting solution to the ugly incident.

Many commuters plying the popular okefia road towards old garage side were stranded for hours, while okada riders and other road users were sighted struggling to find their way out of the flood.
