EFCC Nabs Con Men In Kaduna, Recovers Fake $570,000

Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested four-man gang who specialize in duping unsuspecting persons.

The suspects are Salisu Rabiu, a.k.a Maimagani; Ibrahim Idris, a.k.a Dankano; Magaji Musa a.k.a Maishayi; Haruna Abdullahi,a.k.a Balogun and Abubakar Umar, Fulani.

 According a to release signed by EFCC Head of Media & Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, the suspects were arrested in the bush along Sabon Gari in Kurmin Kogi, Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna state, and found with a sum of $570,000 fake US dollars and local amulets.

 The operatives arrested the gang after receiving a tip off from a man whom they attempted to dupe.  

The suspects will remain in custody until investigation is completed, said Uwujaren.
