Kaduna state Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai says his relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari is as cordial as usual.
The Kaduna State chief executive said even though some persons in the Aso Rock Villa may not like him,No one can stop him from accessing the president whom he sees as a father.
He affirmed this after observing the weekly jumat prayer with President Muhammadu buhari at the presidential villa.
This will be the first visit of kaduna state after his memo to president buhari.
El-rufai said there was no ill motive behind the memo which he wrote to the president seven months ago,noting that the issues addressed in his letter were borne out of patriotism and the need for the president to succeed in the task of delivering good governance to Nigerians.
The Kaduna State Governor expressed disappointed that a private memo in the office of the president could be leaked,pointing out that some of the concerns raised in the leaked memo are now being addressed.
He said the appointment of new chief executives into government parastatals and agencies to replace the ones appointed by former president Jonathan is among the recommendations in his memo which has now been implemented.
On the recent verbal exchanges between him and the speaker of the House of representatives Yakubu Dogara,Governor El-Rufai said he has no problem with the National assembly as an institution but noted that as a citizen of Nigeria he the right to demand for accountability from the parliament.
El-Rufai said he has not been frequenting the villa in recent times because he feels the president needed time to rest and advised other politicians to give the president some space.
His private memo to the president dated September 22,2016 in which he expressed his reservations about the turn events in the presidency and the ruling All progressives congress APC was leaked to the media last month,a development which political analysts say gave an impression that the Kaduna State Governor may have fallen out with the president.
