Osun Dep. Gov To Cheer Osun Babes FC To Victory Against Pelican Stars
Sports-loving Deputy Governor of Osun State Otunba (Mrs) Grace Titi Laoye Tomori will be special guest of honour when the Omoluabi Queens take on their counterpart Pelican Stars of Calabar in the week two encounter of the Nigeria Women Premier League at the Osogbo City Stadium on wednesday evening.
This was made known through a press statement issued by the club's secretary Mrs Aderonke Ogunbanwo Ajibola, where she stated that the number two citizen of the state of the virtuous has promised to be present when the team play their first home game of the season against Pelican Stars of Calabar.
" We are happy that the deputy governor will be around to cheer our girls to victory on wednesday. It should definitely be more of a moral booster for the girls " She told the club's media team.
" She has always supported the team through prayers and moral supports and we are more than grateful to her for all this gestures. We hope to really make her proud with a comprehensive victory on wednesday " Aderonke Ogunbanwo told the club's media team.
Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori who is well known across the state to be a great lover and supporter of sports will be present at the Osogbo City Stadium to give maximum supports to the state team for the second time in two weeks, after she had earlier accompanied Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to cheer Osun United to victory against Bendel Insurance a fortnight ago.
Osun Babes will play against former league Champions Pelican Stars of Calabar at the Osogbo City Stadium in the week 2 encounter of the Nigeria Women Premier League on wednesday the 5th of April 2017, in a must win game, after losing their first game in Lafia to Nasarawa Amazons by two goals to nil.
