The unavailability of Local government helmsmen in Osun State be taking its toll on the welfare of the council offices and staff.

The local government headquarters of Ife Central should have been a cynosure due to the gigantic structure, but the reverse of the case, as the secretariat fails environmental check. The premises are bushy and unkempt  with refuse dump littering distances from each other.

The building itself, though of old and strong architecture, is fast losing touch with reality with broken window panes and the entire structure calling for rehabilitation.

Amenities like the power generating set also needs attention.

While this may pass as what is obtainable in every other local government secretariat,  It is hoped that the new coming on board of new executive secretaries will change the tide.
