Crime Fighting: Lagos Higher Institutions Receive Security Boost


With the alarming rate of crime and wanton violence across tertiary institutions of learning, boosting the security network of these institutions is one cause too important. 
To this end,  House of Representatives members, representing Lagos Mainland Constituency, Hon AbdulRaheem Olajide Jimoh has donated security gadgets to  Higher Institutions of learning in his constituency.

The lawmaker while presenting the gadgets said the essence of giving the material is to provide security for the students. 


Jimoh who was represented by his Legislative Aide,  Rotimi Akeju  stated that the donation was in line with his  electioneering campaign promises while complimenting the effort of the state government on the provision of security. 

"We have freely distributed this gadgets to over fifty Schools, Churches, Mosques and Estates. We deemed it fit to extend it to all the higher institutions in this constituency." Jimoh said. 



The gadgets was presented to  Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Prof. Ben E.A Oghojafor,  Federal College of Education (Technical), Yaba College of Technology,  Lagos State College of Health Technology, Federal School of Science and Technical and Queens College.

In his response, Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Prof. B.E.A Oghojafor who received the gadgets on behalf of Vice-Chancellor said they were pleased that the lawmaker has made the intervention for the school while seeking more meaningful projects from Hon Jimoh to the school. 


In his reaction, the Provost Federal College of Education (Technical), Dr. Siji O. Olusanya described the donation to the school as an unprecedented gesture. Tabs college of technology also benefited from the gesture.
