Lagos @ 50: Lagos Island Maps Out Celebration Plan

The Sole Administrator of Lagos Island Local Government Area, Hon. Nosirudeen Musa, has tasked Nigerian media to continue to play their watch-dog role by putting public office holders on their toes for good governance in the country.

He said the roles of the media in giving government a sense of direction cannot be over emphasized, adding that media pro-activeness in criticizing government and appreciating its good works is highly appreciated and commendable.  

Addressing a press conference in Lagos to outline the council's programmes for the Lagos @50 celebration,Nosirudeen Musa extols the achievements of the APC in the state and that of  the council, saying his administration has done a lot to deliver dividends of democracy to people of Lagos Island Local Government being one of the local governments critical to the development of Lagos state as a whole.

He said his government has touched the lives of people in the council remarkably in the area of health, education, infrastructure, human resources, agriculture and social services department, environmental services and waste management.

 Commending Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for his tirelessness and commitment toward securing and improving the well-being of Lagosians, Nosirudeen Isa says Lagos Island local government will not stop in its efforts to make lives better for the people of the council and give Lagos the required developmental edge needed in the state.
