NSCDC Nabs Suspected Fraudsters in Osun


The Osun state command of the Nigeria security and civil defence corp on Friday Paraded a 4 man-gang of suspected fraudsters.

The suspects comprising a couple, a teenager and one other person were arrested at owo-eba area of Osogbo, the state capital on Thursday.

The suspects Eleye Ojo 53, his wife Omolara Alabi, Faleye Tobiloba 19 and Babatunde Adedeji 35, according to the corps PRO Babatunde Afolabi have all confessed to being involved in fraudulent practices.


Afolabi said "They have admitted of being involved in fraudulent practices and obtaining money under pretence of performing rituals.

Further investigation revealed that they have an office in ibokun town which serves as shrine.

Items found in their custody include cowries,local charms, and other accessories meant to trick their unsuspecting victims".

The corps hereby warns citizens to be careful in their dealings with others especially those who may promise them El Dorado and mouthwatering surprises.

DSC Afolabi also appeals to the people of the state to report suspicious movement and action to the corps " we are appealing to the good people to always give prompt security information to the corps so as to curb this trend f fraudulent malpractices when you see something say something"
