See faces of Suspected Ritualists Arrested In Osun
In what looks like season of ritualists discovery in osun state, for the second time within a week, police in osun state have bursted a ritualist den in gbongan, ayedaade local government area of the state.
The arrest followed a tip off from some members of public who had reported a foul odour at okeoje area of the town to the police leading to the arrest of one Lamidi abidoye and three others.
until tuesday, 20th of june, very few people know of gbongan town in osun state, at least for the negative bits of news but that changed with the arrest of Lamido Abioye by police officers.
Abioye was arrested following disturbing stench oozing from his apartment in okeoje area of the town where human body parts and freshly spitted human blood were found.
The investigation also took the police to another house owned by the suspect, Lamidi abidoye at idiifa area of the town where another sets of human parts were uncovered
it was a discovery that jolted residents of the town who had threatened to lynch the suspected ritualists.
The traditional ruler of the town, oba adetoyese oyeniyi, the olufi of gbongan called for swift investigation and prosecution of the suspects and anyone found culpable with them.
The suspects have since been transferred to the state command headquaters in osogbo for further investigations.
The commissioner of police, Fimihan Adeoye said fhe state command is on a renewed effort at combating ritual killings, kidnapping and all other forms of crimes and bringing criminals to justice.
The police says it has began investigation to uncover others connected to the heinour crime.
