TVC Sheds Staff Strength; Sacks 145, Rests TVC Africa

This is not the best of time for the media as industry giant Continental Broadcasting Service (CBS)  makes a deep cut in its staff strength. An arm of the service Television Continental sacked as much as 145 staff on Friday after a town hall meeting with the general staff. 

The sack letters were reportedly distributed amidst tight security. 

The reason for the cut as adduced by the new Chief Executive Officer was that the overhead and running cost of the station is not enough to pay the staff hence,  sacking some of them. 

Viewers of the popular TVC Africa may also have to do with TVC Nigeria some or the now as the management also decided to rest the international arm of the television station.
