Tony Nwoye WIns Anambra APC primaries
A member of the House of Representatives Tony Nwoye has emerged winner of the Governorship primaries of All Progressives Congress APC in Anambra state.
Nwoye polled a total of 2,146 votes to defeat his closest rival Senator Andy Ubah who polled 931 votes.
A total of 11 aspirants contested for the ticket of the APC in the November 18 Governorship election in the state.
The Returning officer of the exercise, who is also the Governor of Borno State Kassim Shettima on Sunday announced the result, declaring Nwoye as the party's flag bearer.
The result shows George Moghalu in third place with 525 votes, while Bart Nwibe came fourth with 414 votes.
