Ekiti 2018: Olujimi Rejects Fayose's Endorsement, Adeyeye Resigns From EKSU Governing Board



Fall out of the endorsement of deputy governor Olusola Eleka of Ekiti state as the preferred candidate of the state PDP is getting to the fore.

Expectedly, chairman of  the governing council of Ekiti state university, Sola Adeyeye has resigned his appointment.

The Ekiti state govermemt also wasted no time in accepting his resignation and even appointing his replacement almost immediately.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr (Mrs) Modupe Alade, the government thanked Adeyeye for his contributions to the university and wished him well in his future endeavours.

"Consequently, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has approved the appointment of Mr Dele Adesina (SAN) as the new chairman of the university governing council.The appointment takes immediate effect." The statement read.

Meanwhile, the deputy minority chief whip in the senate, senator Abiodun Olujimi, Sola Adeyeye and other aspirants has rejected the endorsement of Professor Olusola Elena as the preferred candidate saying the endorsement is not recognised in the party's constitution.

The aspirants which include Ambassador Dare Bejide and sacked commissioner for justice Owoseeni Ajayi called on the chairman of PDP senator Ahmed Makarfi t wade into the matter before it gets too late.
