Osun Targets 35 Medals in National Youth Games - Odunlade

Osun State is targeting thrity-five medals medals at the forthcoming 3rd National Youth Games in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The State Commissioner for socio Protection, Sports and Special Needs, Mr Biyi Odunlade stated this while addressing journalists ahead of the game which holds between 7th and 17th of September.
According to Mr Odunlade, the State will be prosecuting the games with sixty-eight athletes who have been properly trained and are ready to do the state proud.
Mr Odunlade said the State Governor has approved eighteen million naira for the events with an assurance that no overage athletes would be allowed to represent the State at the event.
The Acting General Manager, Osun State Sports Council, Mrs Lola Oluokun promised that the athletes would bring a lot of medals back to the state from the events.
The State contingents will be participating in 17 games to include Taekwando, weight lifting, boxing, Table Tennis, Long Tennis, Badminton, Judo, Scrable among others.
