Houses Without Toilets Will No Longer Be Tolerated In Ondo - Akeredolu

Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu says very soon houses without toilets in the state will be penalized.

Akeredolu disclosed this while hosting the United Nations Children’s  Funds UNICEF team, in  Akure the state capital.

The Governor who stressed that his administration is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs of the United Nations, said he is worried by the menace of open defecation in the state.

He however,  stated that his government is considering building public toilets in some parts of the state to tackle the problem and have a safe environment.

The country Representative of UNICEF Mohammed Fall commended the governor for his stance on sanitation and the Sustainable Development Goals.

He said,  if Nigeria as a country fails to make the Sustainable Development Goals, Other countries in the sub-saharan Africa and indeed around the world may not make it.
