Ondo Govt, NNPC To Establish $175m Biofuel Plant
Ondo state Government has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC to establish ethanol plant in the state.
The ethanol plant project which will cost a total of one hundred and seventy-five million dollars ($175M) will be situated in Okeluse, Ose local government area of the state.
The state commissioner for Commerce, industries, and cooperatives Timilehin Adelegbe made this known in a phone conversation with our correspondent Tuesday.
Adelegbe said the proposed Ethanol plant will seat on 15thousand hectares of Lands that would accommodate Plantation of cassava.
Adelegbe said Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at the signing applauded the NNPC and appealed for quick implementation of the project.
The Group Managing Director of NNPC Maikanti Baru witnessed the signing of the documents by the representatives of the two parties.
