Fayose Signs Last Budget As Ekiti State Governor, Berates FG Over 2018 Fiscal Bill Saga
Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose has come hard on the President Muhammad Buhari led government and the APC caucus in the National Assembly for the 2018 budget saga that stalled the budget processing .
Speaking at the signing of the 2018 appropriation bill into law in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state capital.
The governor berating the federal government says, the federal government and other state governments having difficulty in budgets are not prepared for the position they find themselves, hence facing challenges.
"If you put a little boy on the bike, the first is that his legs will not be able to reach the pedal, so it will be someone else that press the pedal for him. The current situation at the federal level and states is that the they are never prepared to be in power, they just go about it without knowing what to do because you cannot offer what you don't have" Fayose submitted.
The 98 billion Naira budget was presented to the House of Assembly on the 5th of December and signed into law without any alterations. This will be the last budget to be signed by Fayose as the governor of Ekiti state.
