CORETV Goes Live In Osun As Free TV (DSO) Debuts
Osun has now joined the few States in Nigeria in the television digital Digital Switch over .
This is just as the state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola enjoins the federal government to ensure content control through regulations.
The switch over was launched by the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed.
Osun state has now become the 6th state in the country and the 1st in the southwest to switch over from analogue to digital television broadcast.Plateau, Abuja, Kwara, Kaduna and Enugu were the first to switch.
The minister of information and culture, Lai Muhammed explains that the benefit of the digital switch over is endless.
Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola said the consequences of not controlling the contents would defeat the essence of the initiative.
Various speakers harped on the need to ensure the entire 36 States of the federation are covered to increase citizens access to information.
The people of Osun state will now enjoy among other television stations on the DSO CORETV on channel 748.
