Video: How Thugs Nearly Disrupt Gov. Aregbesola's Commissioning Of Workers' Drive

The commissioning of the 2.8 kilometre dual carriage way christened workers drive by governor Rauf Aregbesola was nearly disrupted by thugs who are known as "state boys".

Trouble started after the official programme meant to herald the commisioning ended, while the only thing left for the governor was to perform the ceremonial commissioning, the thugs had to approach a particular official allegedly saddled with the responsibility of releasing money to them who however refused to do so.

This drew the anger of the thugs who had to confront the governor's convoy at the site of commissioning demanding for money. It took the intervention of the governor's security details to disperse the irate thugs with sporadic shooting as they were pursued to the crannies of Isale Osun area where the commissioning took place.
