#7.4million “naija Bet” pool winner murdered in Nasarawa

Joseph Achukwu,  a naija bet pool winner was allegedly murdered following the providence’s smile on him on his pool lottery.

A deceased family who preferred to anonymity claimed as he reported to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the alleged killers started hunting the deceased since he won the money as he was trailed to the family house, attacked and carted away with all the documents concerning his bet won.

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian police command in Nasarawa State,  DSP Idrisu Kennedy,  disclosed to NAN on Tuesday in Lafia that the victim’s corpse was recovered along Federal University, Lafia on Sunday Owing to persistent calls from residents of the area.

 The remains were deposited at Dalhatu Araf specialist Hospital mortuary and was released to the family members on Tuesday for burial.

The PRO also said the killing might not be unconnected with the 7.4million naira the victim won in the bet-naija pool. He further said, Although, no arrest had been made but investigation has commenced to ensure that the perpetrators are put to justice.
