"Buhari Parades Worst Economic Team, Jonathan's Team Far Better"- Akinwonmi

The National Vice Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Yemi Akinwonmi has attributed the dwindling economy of the country to the incompetence of the present economy team at the federal level.

Akinwonmi described the economy team of former President Goodluck Jonathan as a better team in terms of managing the economy compared to the present one under President Muhammadu Buhari.

The PDP Chieftain who spoke at the installation ceremony of a  Member of the House of Representatives, representing Remo north, Hon Ladi Adebutu as the Otunba badekale of Makun , Sagamu area of Ogun State stated that the situation in the country under Jonathan was not as poor as what the nation is currently experiencing under Buhari.

He explained that Nigerians were tired of everyday blaming on the previous administration by the government, saying that all what ordinary citizens wanted was a government that would feel there pains.

"All we want is a government that will feel the pains of an ordinary Nigeria. Unlike government that spent three quarter of its time in UK without solving Nigerians problem.  we'll never do that for our people, he who feels it knows it. We'll touch every life in this country.

"How was Jonathan managing it to the point that when he was leaving it was one  dollar to 180 naira but now it is one  dollar to 360 naira. How is federal government managing it? It is the management of the economy that is causing the problem. The Economy team of Jonathan is far better than Buhari's team today.

 "As at the time Jonathan is handling over, bag of rice was N6, 500, how much is bag of rice now?.,"  he said.

On the released list of looters, he said the federal government released the lists because it has been loosing out in terms managing the country.

The PDP Chieftain disclosed Nigerians have now know the better government  between the PDP and the APC.

He expressed optimism that the PDP would return in 2019 at both in Ogun state and the Federal level.

He said that there were no Crack in the PDP, saying that PDP remained a formidable force.

"I am very happy that our party is going up and up everyday, its an indication that by 2019 we will be in Oke mosan, so I feel very happy.

"Am the deputy national chairman of PDP, there is no crack, am in the position today by the grace of God, whether there is crack or not. There is only one  PDP in Ogun state and that is Sikirulai Ogundele led exco, that is the party that is recognised by the NWC and INEC.

"People turn out to us because APC has disappointed them, life is unbearable to people, hardship, suffering, hunger, poverty is everywhere. Our people have tasted the two parties they now know the best we have never had it this bad in Nigeria.


He said "PDP released unendless list of looters, they released their own, we release our own too. Its called 1-1, there is no point in that. The bottom  line is that they are losing out because numerous problem and mismanagement of the economy are what we are having in the country today. Nigerians have seen the capacity of both parties now, I hope they won't get it wrong again, the future of this country is in our hands. Go and get your PVC and vote APC out.

"Let's come down to Ogun state, what has Amosun done in my local government for 8years, what did he do in Ijebu,  even in Odogbolu. All he's doing is bridges and bad roads, how will the construction transform to money. I hope the people of Ogun state now know the different between" Oselu and Ojelu" .
