The undefined indefinite killings in Benue by Shukroh Akorede-Basit
The undefined indefinite killings in Benue, just to chew out my sadness and my loathe for the presidency's folded arms (my perception)
Bodies scattered around
Stricken hard with tools
How horrible they died
Yelling hard for help
Mothers shut the door
Pleading to their wards
Rather live on fluid
Than fetching from the barn
If this should be said,
Terrorism in degrees
A tribe or religion
So they ascribe
Human beings are all,
With compassion in our hearts
Should we rip it off
Is there, we have war
Terrorism has no religion
No tribe embraces it
nefarious individuality
Mistakingly taken for all..
fleeing from the battle field
Guardian angel should hear of this
Avenge , a hope they got
Behold, it never came
With terror crawling in their minds
Eyes rheumy, begging for mercy
They took back their stances
Slashing throats and herds.
Undefined wars, infinite
Yet again, massacre
Guardian angel, be here
___ still hope on you
They say you have failed
Ambiguity is not the case
scathe, taken with levity
Pain, Etched to the hearts
I still hope, for good
For now,no escape route
We should still hope for good
Without hope, we all die
A bit, from inside.
