ADC Submits List Of 32 Contestants For National,State Assemblies

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi, says it has 32 candidates seeking for national and state assembly seats in the state.

The Secretary of the party in the state, Alhaji Sifiyanu Bala, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday that all the contestants emerged through direct primaries.

“We have submitted the list of our candidates for the national assembly and state house of assembly preparatory to 2019 general elections,’’ he said.

Bala said that the party is expecting over 500 defectors from All Progressive Congress (APC) by the end of October.

“We will receive defectors from APC to our great party, the defectors from Kebbi North, Centre and South will join the fold of the ADC,’’ he said.

He also said the door of the party was open to all new members, and advised party loyalists to shun any form of violence before, during and after the general elections.

Bala said that what the ADC require of its members, was for them to work assiduously for the party to win the 2019 election at all levels.
