Osun 2019: House of Rep Aspirant Woos Supporters Ahead Primaries, as APC Leaders Vow to Kick Against Imposition of Candidate

House of Representative Aspirant, Engr. Olalekan Badmus has visited All Progressives Congress Federal Constituency office ahead to meet with party's leaders ahead of Primaries.



Engr Olalekan was received by mammoth crowd and party's local government chairmen, Mr. Kilanko Abiodun(Olorunda Central), Mr. Ropo Alabi (Osogbo West), Mr. Aminu Ahmed (Olorunda North), Alh. Olateju Akeem (Olorunda South), Mr. Kazeem Adebayo (Osogbo South), Secretaries, Youth Leaders and Woman leaders of All Progressives Congress on Thursday.



While Engr. Badmus was addressing the leaders and supporters of APC, he said, "I hold the party's structure to high esteem and I believe that the local government supporters and leaders formed part of the good structure of the party.

"As an indigene of Osogbo which is the State capital of Osun State, I present myself to the structure of the APC Federal Constituency which is the combination of Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun local government areas as an aspirant for House of Representative"



"Considering my profile I am the best for the post because I am young and this will give the party elders to chasten me if I do anything wrong without considering any thing. On the flip side of things, you are older than me and I will always have respect for your age and the party always.



Badmus noted that, "Osogbo is the only state capital in the country that doesn't have its' indigene at the House of Representative which to some extent will bring development to the Federal Constituency".



He appealed to supporters and leaders to vote for him in the Primaries.


While responding to the address of Engr. Badmus, APC Chairman of Olorunda Local Government Area, Mr. Kilanko Abiodun assured Badmus of their support.


He said, " Olalekan Badmus is very responsible person ever since I know him in 1995. I rejoice with Osun State that youth is now emerging in politics.



He opined that, "We, in Osogbo/Olorunda local government area are the one delivering votes that elect Governor, Senator, House of Representative and other political office.



" Olalekan Badmus has come to us and we will support him to the last drop of our blood. We can't be giving other people our vote that will elect them to power without considering our own son. Most of the Local government areas in this state always follow our decision. Our voters strength can never be undermine by any local government, this is the right time for us to make our own son to have a voice at the Federal Level.


"We will resist any form of imposition of candidate on us as a party in the Primary Election. We hereby admit Olalekan Badmus as our candidate.



" I urge all the Federal Constituency citizens to support Engr. Olalekan Badmus for the House of Representative in the forthcoming primary election".



Also, the Chairman of Olorunda North, Mr. Aminu Ahmed throwed weight behind Badmus.



He said, "Lekan Badmus is the first person to come to Federal Constituency office for support.



We will refute any form of imposition on us. We will make sure we provide fair playing ground for candidate and with our votes we will make a statement that Osogbo and Olorunda local government has greatest vote in Osun State. He ended.



Engr. Badmus also proceeded to Irepodun and Orolu local Government Areas to further solicit for vote ahead of the Primaries.
