State Government - Over 27,000 Benefits From Osun Micro-Credit Facilities.







Osun state government has impacted positively on the economy of the state through its various financial intervention programmes in the last 8 years. 


The state commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Cooperatives, Ismaila Jayeoba-Alagbada spoke at a press briefing in Osogbo while highlighting the achievements of governor Rauf Aregbesola's administration on micro-credit interventions.
Jayeoba who described the success recorded as a watershed attributed it to the strict implementation of the six-point integral action plan of governor Aregbesola.

Jayeoba-Alagbada noted that a large segment of the business community in the state which is made up of micro and small scale business operators have benefited significantly from the micro-credit loan made available by the government to make them successful in their businesses. 

He disclosed that, "the initial fund of 2.1 billion naira released to the Osun Micro-credit Agency established in 2014 for disbursement to business operators has been serially revolved and grown above 4.53 billion naira",

He said "the agency has improved efficiency, raising standard of people-centred service delivery, adopting global risk, management and improving operational transparency".


He said "27,352 MSME owner spreading across seven sectors have benefited from the credit facilities as at September, 2018",

He emphasized "continuity of progressive legacy of the outgoing administration is therefore assured".
