Armed soldiers Shut Down Daily Trust Offices In Borno, Kaduna And Abuja

Armed soldiers have invaded and shut the offices of Daily Trust Newspaper in Borno, Kaduna and Abuja.
The editor of the regional office in Maiduguri, Uthman Abubakar, was arrested along with a reporter, Ibrahim Sawab, during the raid.
It’s not clear why they took the action but it may be connected with the paper’s lead story today on a military operation in the North East.
An eyewitness says the soldiers requested to see the Political Editor, Hamza Idris, whose by-line appeared on the story.
This is the second time in five years the military will be clamping down on the publishers of the newspaper.
Meanwhile according to president buhari spokesman Garba Shehu in his tweet said, "Federal Government has directed the military to vacate the premises of daily trust and the order has been complied with.
"Issues between the military and the newspaper as they affect the coverage of the war in the Northeast will be resolved through dialogue.
