The Presidential candidate of the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party Mr. Tope Fasua has  staged a protest at the National Assembly demanding an increment in the 2019 budget from N8.83 trillion to N15 trillion.

The protest which is the fourth one conducted by the ANRP candidate witnessed many protesters who carried placards with different inscriptions on them and chanting various protest songs to air their grievances against the 2019 budget which they considered too small.

Fasua who said he's not just in politics for just being there but to make impact said the 2019 budget is too small for the population of the country and therefore urged the National Assembly to have a total review of it.

He said "why we are here today is because the budget has been transmitted to the National Assembly, it is now in the court of the National Assembly and we want to be very vehement that the national assembly should have a total review of that budget."

"We are very insistent that the budget should be increased to at least 15 trillion Naira because our population is about 190 million and the current budget cannot cater for everyone hence the protest."
