2019 General Election: Buhari Deserves Second Term- APC Canada Chapter

The Coordinator of Buhari Action Group, Canada chapter,  Dr Abiola Oshodi has asserted that Nigerian President,  Muhammadu Buhari deserved profound commendation and support from Nigerians.

 

Dr oshodi who stated this in a statement opined that the murky political system of old in Nigeria in which the country's resources were colonised by the few corrupt ones   to the detriment of the generality of the populace has been reshaped and corrected by the Buhari led administration. 

He averred that the anti-corruption crusade embarked upon by Buhari's government,  coupled with outstanding achievements recorded in the economy, human capital developments and investments in critical infrastructures in the last three and half years have given an enviable status to Nigeria and Nigerians within the comity of nations. 

Dr oshodi  further explained that the task of rebuilding a disrupted economy during the 16-year rule of Peoples Democratic Party,  PDP,  was herculean,  hence the need for support and commendation from Nigerians to sustain the tempo.

The coordinator described the candidate  of the PDP,  Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his party as instruments of deception towards protecting selfish interests,  and the corrupt elites who mortgaged Nigerian collective future over the years,  advising  Nigerian electorate to be vigilant and never fall for their antics. 

" A political analogy of clear understanding about the political situation in Nigeria is that while it will take only a  few minutes to pull down a building,  the timeline for construction takes a minimum of four weeks or more. 

"In that wise,  the rebuilding process of Nigeria’s  crumbled economy and social infrastructure under the PDP for 16 years requires a sustained tempo and sufficient period to be completed; and that is why the President Buhari administration deserve support and  a second term from Nigerians  to sustain the tempo and achieve the Nigeria of our collective dream . 

" Nigerians must be careful and vigilant,  the antics of PDP and it's candidate must be completely resisted and jettisoned. This party of deceit has nothing to offer”. 

"The conscious efforts by this government to sanitise the lopsided system and rid it off political kleptomaniacs must be supported wholeheartedly ", Oshodi said. 

Speaking on the postponement of Saturday election by Independent National Electoral Commission,  INEC,    the Coordinator said the late hour postponement is unfortunate but better than a compromised poll,  as he lauded the position of President Buhari and the APC on the issue.  

He argued that the decision of the electoral umpire this time around could neither  be compared to what INEC did in 2011, when election was postponed after the commencement of the exercise nor the 2015 election postponement that was forced on INEC by the Jonathan led administration citing security concerns .

Dr Oshodi appealed to all Nigerians to keep faith with the Buhari led administration "which  is determined to lead Nigeria to the promised land. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria ".
