Persons With Disability Deserve Equal Opportunities - Hon. Bamidele Salam

People with disabilities have been said to deserve better considerations that can afford them equal job opportunities and improved standard of living.


Federal lawmaker representing federal constituency, Bamidele Salam said this in Ede, Osun state during an event organised to empower some members of his constituency and opening of constituecy office .


The Federal lawmaker advocated effective technological system of processing retirement benefits of workers in order to prevent unnecessary discomfort after retirement.


Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila who spoke on phone assured the people of the area that the federal parliament will continue to support initiatives geared towards bringing the dividends of democracy to constituencies.


Beneficiaries at the ocassion expressed happiness and urged other political office holders to prioritize giving back to their communities.

One of the beneficiaries who is also person with disability appealed to the lawmaker to support efforts that will ensure passage of bill on People With Disabilities at the National Assembly.


The event featured presentation of appointment letters to forty beneficiaries, which include four persons with disabilities as special assistants and senior special advisers to the lawmaker at constituencies level.
