Governor Dickson Sacks Special Adviser

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson has has sacked his Special Adviser on Talent Development and Gender Promotion, Mrs. Helen Bob.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, on Wednesday.

He said that Helen Bob was dismissed for “repeated acts of gross misconduct, indiscipline, irresponsibility and acts unbecoming of a person occupying the high position of Special Adviser in any government whatsoever.”

The statement read: “Helen Bob who has Special Adviser for almost eight years was among 130 Special Advisers out of over 2000 appointees engaged by the governor to render necessary services to the state and to give a sense of belonging and legitimate support party members.

“The governor wishes her well in all her political endeavors in the future.”
