Osun Assembly Receives Commissioners And Special Advisers List

The State of Osun House of Assembly has received the much talked about and awaited list of the Commissioners and Special Advisers Nominees from the Governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola. 

      

This was disclosed today at the Plenary of the House by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, under Message from the Governor on the Order Paper of the Day through a correspondence dated 20th September, 2019 comprising 35 names of the Nominees spreading across the 3 Senatorial Districts and 9 Federal Constituency of the state.      

The list comprises of former Commissioners and Special Advisers such as Adebisi Obawale Simeon, Yinusa Olalekan, Oyebamiji Bola and Latifat Abiodun Giwa as well as former Assembly Members like Idiat Babalola and Folorunso Olayinka Oladoyin( Bam Bam) among others.   

According to the Governor in line with section 192(2) and 196(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999( as amended), the list is subject to the consideration and confirmation of the State Assembly. 

Commenting on the development, the Speaker, Hon. Owoeye, while rejoicing with the Nominees of the Governor for the said positions also directed them to submit 35 copies each of their Curriculum Vitae and other necessary documents not later than Friday, 27th September, 2019 in preparation for the screening exercise. 

Hon. Owoeye also gave an hints about the commencement of the screening proper which according to him would start in coming week Monday, 30th September, 2019 saying Time table for the said screening will be out soon.
