The joint health sector union ladoke Akintola university of technology teaching hospital Osogbo wants government of the two owner states to resolve the lingering crisis rocking the ivory tower.
The chairman of the union, Mr Muyiwa Moronkeji stated this in Osogbo at a press conference to state the position of the union on the crisis.
Mr Morenikeji who urged traditional rulers and pressure groups to intervene into the matter said the lingering crisis had affected smooth running of the institution.
He disclosed that Osun state government had been responsible for the financial obligations of LAUTECH teaching hospital,Osogbo since 2013 and its counterparts in Oyo had not been forthcoming in the fund of the teaching hospital in Osogbo.
The chairman maintained that Osun government had been committed to the joint ownership of the Lautech teaching hospital Osogbo,saying the staff members of the hospital comprises of indigenes of Oyo and Osun without any form of discrimination and intimidation.
Mr Morenikeji said the lingering crisis had exposed students of the institution to untold hardship due to elongation of their academic programme .
He argued that the joint ownership of the university was product of law and for any of the owner state to discontinue the arrangement it must be subjected to legal review.
