APC WOMEN LEADERS VISIT SA WORKS & TRANSPORT ENGINEER OLATOKE OLANIYAN IN HIS OFFICE AT ABERE
Special Adviser on Works and Transport, State of Osun, Engr Olatoke Hussein Olaniyan, received on Wednesday January 22, 2020, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leaders from Boripe Local Government Osun State, in his office at the Government secretariat, Abere.
The women leaders asked for the support of the State Government to encourage them as the representatives of women being majority of the voters and help them maintain relevance by creating employment opportunities for them and their wards and empowering them in their various trades.
In response to their request, Engr Olatoke Hussein Olaniyan said he appreciates their support and commitments to the progress of the State and the government of Governor Gboyega Oyetola towards the success of this present administration.He Urged the women to encourage their children and wards in the acquisition of technical and vocational skills in order to be properly and gainfully engaged and be useful for themselves and to the society.
In his words, he said "While his Excellency will continue to provide quality health care services and full commitment to the wellbeing of women in state, I will also use this medium to urge our mothers to ensure their wards are properly raised and nurtured, thereby equipping them with the right qualifications to be gainfully employed".He also added that in regards to creating employment opportunities, Osun state government will in no time create the enabling environment that will ensure that our youths are gainfully employed.
Engr Olatoke appealed to them to continue to support and pray for the success of His Excellency Governor Adegboyega Oyetola's administration as he steers the affairs of the state.
According to him, the welfare of children and women in the state is paramount to his Excellency, which is why the State Government is doing the needful to make life more bearable for them.
He also pointed out that the State government is not gender biased and will ensure that women occupy viable positions in the state and will not be sidelined.
