Bauchi Governor Goes Into Self-Isolation After Contact With Atiku’s Son
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has gone into self-isolation after coming in contact with the son of Atiku Abubakar who has been tested positive for the virus.
A former Director of Radio Nigeria, Ladan Salihu revealed via his Twitter handle on Monday that the governor and others flew in the same plane with Atiku’s son. He also confirmed that they’ve since also gone into self-isolation after being tested.
“Our Governor Bala Mohammed in self-isolation following contact with Atiku Abubakar’s Son. Yes. We were on the same flight from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. The gov and the rest of us have taken tests. The results will be negative Insha Allah.”
In a statement by the Bauchi State government, through the Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, the airline boarded by the governor and Atiku’s son was identified as Aero Contractors and it also revealed that the governor shook hands and exchanged pleasantries with the positive case.
The governor has not shown any symptom of the disease and has cancelled all his appointments with immediate effect.
