GOVERNING COUNCIL CHAIR LAMENTS DECAY IN OAU

The newly constituted governing council of the Obafemi Awolowo university Ile Ife says taking the school back to its glorious day will be its focus.

The Chairman of the council, Dr Yemi Ogunbiyi gave the assurance after the council members were conducted round the school premises.

Dr Ogunbiyi who bemoans the deplorable condition of the infrastructures in the university,  says his council will strive hard to ensure that things are restored back.

On the allegations of corruption crisis that rocked the school for several months in 2016 and which led to the disollusion of the immediate past governing council, Dr Ogunbiyi explained that no official report has been issued by the investigative committee.

He however disclosed that a forensic audit of the university's account will be done to ensure that every thing is properly checked

Dr Ogunbiyi assured that his council will work hand in hand with all workers unions in the school to further enhance academic standard
