Iran To Designate FBI,CIA As Terror Groups
The Iranian Parliament, Islamic Consultative Assembly says it will not waste time on its bill to designate the U.S Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as terrorist group in Iran if the US goes ahead to include the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in list of terrorists.
The Revolutionary Guards state that their role in protecting the Islamic
system is preventing foreign interference as well as coups by the
military or "deviant movements". This is one area not palatable with the government of the United States as it says its in the process of designating the guard as a terror group.
In retaliation to this gesture by the U.S, Iran says the two security outfit of the United States will also go into the black book of the country.
This is coming as there is a renewed tension with Iran imposing sanctions on Raytheon, a US defence industry company and 14 other companies for alleged human rights and cooperating with Israel, the state news agency IRNA reported on Sunday.
The agency quoted Iran’s foreign ministry as saying the companies had “flagrantly violated human rights” and cooperated with Israel against the Palestinians.
The sanctions according to IRNA would include seizure of their assets and a ban on contacts with them.
