Magu Is Terrorising Us- Sen. Francis Alimekhena

The senator representing Edo north senatorial district Francis Alimekhena has accused the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Ibrahim Magu of taking revenge on the senate for its refusal to approval his nomination as the substantive chairman of the anti graft agency.

Sen. Alimekhena during plenary on Tuesday said Magu has been terrorising the senate following his rejection on two occasions.

"Let's hear from president Buhari on Magu's case. Magu is terrorising us, because we disqualified him" Alimekhena said"

He said since his disqualification by the senate, Magu has resorted to victimising them.

Sen. Alimekhena said no day passes since the rejection, without report of corruption against any senator.

Recall, that the nomination of Magu by President Buhari was rejected for the second time and up till the present minute the Buhari-led presidency has refused to make its position known.

However, while considering nomination of Mr. President on the issue of INEC commissioners, Senator Peter Nwaboshi raised the issue that Mr. President has refused to do something on their rejection of Magu as EFCC boss.
