Thinking Nigeria Series LII (Before The Tear Widens) By Chris Nwaokobia

Thinking Nigeria Series LII
BEFORE THE TEAR WIDENS VII.

"Always my prayer to you O' Lord, is to vouchsafe our nation with
THINKERS who must rework the margins of thought, of values and of
service."-THOUGHTS OF A SEEKER, Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr.

ON OBASANJO: I must wish the man who appears to have enjoyed the most
cosmic grace in this clime happy 80th birthday. However, my candid
advise is that he goes before God in penitence not grandstanding.

He 'ruled' Nigeria the longest, over 3years as a Military Head of
State, and 8years as a Civilian President, 11plus years out of
56years, and what is the story of Nigeria?

Thinkers must interrogate our intellectual barometer, for what reason
does the OBJ story resonate? What is the benefit of an Obasanjo
Library to our national debate except the library tells the fact that
under OBJ, Nigeria spent over 880b on the Turn Around Maintenance of
Refineries, without the Refineries turning out better.

Except the Library admits that over 32b dollars was spent on Power,
without improving power. Except the Library tells how Billions of
naira was spent on a jamboree called Political CONFAB. And except that
Library holds him responsible for the do-or-die normative on our
political kaleidoscope.

If the present political operators will not live by the TRUTH, some of
us at the risk of whatever leverage mortal man can give or withdraw
MUST stay TRUE. We must begin a holistic overhaul of our collective
values before the STRUCTURAL, moral, ethical and spiritual tear that
threatens the nation widens.

ON THE HAILING HAILERS & THE WAILING WAILERS: I sincerely wish that
this divide never existed, however we MUST deepen the organic trust of
our debate to issues about COUNTRY where the welfare of the ORDINARY
PEOPLE and the good of nation must occupy the centrepoint of
governmental policy.

God bless Nigeria.
