U.S Ambassador says Nigeria is Important for World's Future , As Ooni of Ife Cautions America, others Against Support For Ethnicity Division

The U.S Ambassador to Nigeria Stuart Symington says Nigeria as a country is important to the future of the world.

Stuart spoke today during a separate visit to the Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state and the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

The Ambassador who underscored the importance of unity, faith and trust in any society said the need to understand Nigeria better informed his visit.

He assured that his country will continue to support Nigeria in every possible way, even as he hoped that the country will do more in the area of social intervention.

In a remark Governor Aregbesola said his administration has done well in ensuring a better life for the citizens of the state, through its various social intervention programmes, like O'YES, O'MEAL among others.

He expressed hope that the U.S will continue to put the rest of the world in mind while taking decision, saying America is too important , that its position on issues like climate change, international and human relation will affect many.

Speaking earlier in his palace, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi appealed to the western world not to support any division along tribal lines in Nigeria and the entire African continent.

He said what Nigeria and indeed the Africa continent need from the developed western nations is their support in fostering peace and not brewing war or division.

Ooni Ogunwusi who disclosed that one of the challenges facing the world is problem of identity, said the truth about the Human source and existence be further researched to give an average black man a sense of belonging.

"It has been proven scientifically that one mother gave birth to all of us. So we should all live in peaceful coexistence, we should love one another, we should extend hands of fellowship to one another.we know that some countries are blessed than the others, so why can't we preach peace, peaceful coexistence across the entire continents of the world.

It is very important for us all to live in peace. What's causing problem in this world is problem of identity, nobody will know his or her root and will want to mess it up. Once we can eliminate the challenge of identity in this world, there won't be problem"

Am putting this challenge to the western world, we, from the Africa continent and Nigeria that is the mirror of the entire continent (because one of  out every four black men is a Nigerian) if we get it right in Nigeria, the entire continent of Africa will get it right.

 Am challenging the western world, that we do not want war, we don't any western world or nation to support any division along our tribal lines, we don't want them to support one tribal line above another, by selling arms and ammunitions to them. We want is peace, we Want our teeming youths to be gainfully engage, we do not want war or division.. We have the largest population of youths, we need the support of the western world".
