Osun By-election: "We Postponed Primary election To Allow NWC study The Report of Appeal Panel" - APC Committee

The postponement of the APC primary election for the july 8 osun west by-election earlier scheduled for today, was to allow the national working committee of the party study the report of the appeal panel.

The primary had been slated to hold on Monday but was postponed to allow the national working committee of the APC examine the outcome of the appeal committee which upheld the disqualification of Senator Mudashir Hussein.

Chairman of the APC primary committee and speaker, Zamfara state house of assembly, Sanusi Rikiji disclosed this while briefing newsmen, today in Osogbo.

The appeal committee chaired by a former deputy governor of kogi state Abdullahi Bello had yesterday dismissed an appeal filed by one of the two aspirants vying for the party ticket Senator Mudashiru Hussein and upheld his disqualification by the Screening committee.

 Rikiji who disclosed that the venue of the primary has also been changed from the traditional Iwo senatorial headquarters to for security reasons, confirmed that the exercise will take place tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Ademola Adeleke solidarity group is suspecting foul play from the other camp for the postponement and change in the venue.
