Olujimi Explodes! Says Ekiti Assembly Lacks Persons Of Character

The Deputy minority whip and senator representing Ekiti south Abiodun Olujimi has described members of the Ekiti state house of assembly as persons without character.

This was in response to the suspension of Honourable Ojoade Fajana on the ground that he connived with the senator to impeach speaker of the Ekiti state house of assembly Kola Oluwawole among other allegations

The crisis rocking Ekiti PDP seem to fester daily as cracks get evident with the turn of events in the state ruling party. The latest was the suspension of the member representing Ekiti east constituency 1 Fajana Ojoade for allegedly fronting for senator Abiodun Olujimi to destabilize the house. Olujimi however dismiss this claim saying members of the house lacks honourable character.

"If by any chance I want to remove the speaker, what will I achieve? Will I become the speaker? No! What will I achieve in impeaching the governor who has only one year to go? They are doing this because of my aspiration to become governor and this will be done. Instead of damaging my reputation, they have only succeeded in popularising my ambition even when I have not declared."

The former deputy governor stated further that "The people in the house of assembly don't have the character of legislators. There is this thing they call esprit de corp, given in the army and the police. They see each other and when they see their seniors, thwtw is respect. There is no respect in Ekiti(House of Assembly) for any one that is senior."

Olujimi however admonished governor Fayose to stop the series of crises he is fuelling and start to look for ways to reach a truce so as for the party to repeat the overwhelming victory it recorded at the 2014 poll again in 2018

The crux of these crises is tied to 2018 aspirations of some PDP which is fast tearing the party apart than uniting it
