Police In Ondo Debunk Reports of Suspected Herdsmen's Killing

The Ondo State Police Command has described as untrue the social media reports that some suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked and killed some passengers travelling along Lagos-Ore road.

The command in a statement signed by its  spokesperson Femi Joseph said no such incidence occured anywhere in the state.

However, Joseph explained that some suspected kidnappers were interrupted while trying to rob at Oke Ila along Lagos-Ore expressway.

He disclosed that the kidnappers succeeded in abducting some passengers, while four of victims had been rescued.

According to him, information gathered from the rescued victims indicated that the perpetrators were of Chad and Niger extractions.

He advised the residents of the state to disregard the report, saying no report of killing by hoodlums has been reported.
