Hope of possible release of the remaining Chibok girls appears very lean now as indications are rife that only 15 out of the 113 girls believed to remain in captivity are alive.

Besides, the remaining girls had been married out after being indoctrinated, with their respective husbands taking full possession, an indication that possible negotiation for their release may not even work.

Salkida, like never before open the lid on the botched attempts by the government of Nigeria, mostly that led by former President Goodluck Jonathan to have the abducted Chibok Girls released through negotiations, blaming the government for the failed attempts.

He wrote; “I regret to state that only 15 out of 113 Chibok Girls are alive today based on my investigations in the past three months and we have already seen some of them in a video which I exclusively obtained and was published on Sahara Reporters blog.

“On the fate of 15 girls still in captivity, my investigations show, that they are no longer under the control of Abu Shekau. They are now married and only their husbands can decide their fates.

“If they are divorced or their husbands killed, that is when Shekau’s decision takes precedence. And in this instance, since the girls have been indoctrinated, their leader has no right to negotiate for their release no matter the ransom offered.

“The way out is a military rescue or negotiation. Individual captor to release their wives in return for some kind of deal, but this will mean death to the fighter husband because their terror group sees the girls as part of their own”
