July 8th: We'll Resist PDP's Militants- Aregbesola; APC Has Contracted MCOlumo-PDP




The governor of Osun state Rauf Aregbesola has accused the Peoples Democratic Party in the state of importing militants to pepertrate violence and unleash terror in the forthcoming July 8th bye-election.

Aregbesola said this at the party's mega rally in Ejigbo, the hometown of its candidate for the Osun west senatorial bye-election Mudashiru Hussein.

Aregbesola while canvassing for Hussein alleged that the PDP has imported militants from the Niger Delta to unleash terror on electorates and voters come Saturday. The governor who spoke in Yoruba however vowed to resist the said militants. "E so fun militant to o ba fe na owo to gba ni aye yii, wipe ki o kuro in Osun Oh" meaning "tell any militant who is desirous to spend the money given him alive to leave Osun state"

Earlier, the Peoples Democratic Party has also accused the All Progressives Congress to have contracted popular Drivers Union leader in Lagos Mc Oluomo to lead its onslaught against the PDP in Saturday.

Dele Adeleke, representative of PDP senatorial candidate made the disclosure at INEC's stakeholders meeting held in Osogbo.

Dele Adeleke  thanked the police for the prompt pick up of one Lawrence popularly known as "D-Law" who isbapleged to be the leader of APCs violent squad. Dele was however quick to add that "on a reliable authority,we have been able to gather that APC have contacted MC Oluomo,which is D-Law's senior. He is either already in the state or on his way".

Meanwhile,The eleven political parties contesting the bye-election were however present at the Zone 11 headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force to sign peace accord on Tuesday.

The Assistant Inspector General of Policenin charge of Zone 11 Agboola Oshodi-Glover appealed to all candidates, their political parties and followed to eschew violence vowing not to spare any person who will forment trouble.
