Osun West Bye-Election: INEC Assures Level Playing Field, Police To Restrict Movement.
Ahead of the July 8th bye-election into the vacant Osun west senatorial seat, the independent national electoral commission has assured all political parties of fairness and level playing field to all candidates contesting in the bye-election.
Thus was made known by The resident electoral commissioner posted to Osun state solely for the bye election Baritor Kpagi at Inec headquarters in Oshogbo while meeting various stakeholders about the poll.
Baritor Kpagi says all is being put in place to ensure a free,fair and credible exercise come July 8th stating further that all sensitive materials will arrive on Wednesday with distribution to various local governments to be done on Thursday.
The meeting had security agencies and representatives of political parties in attendance. Osun state police commissioner Fimihan Adeoye reiterates commitment of police force to ensure safety of lives and property stressing that restriction of movement will be enforced on the election through our Osun west senatorial district.
The coordinator of NYSC Emanuel Attah however appeal to participants in the election not to harrass or intimidate any corps member before ,during and after the exercise.
