For the timely intervention of senator Jide Omoworare, it would have been another case of bloodletting at Oja tuntun, Odo Ogbe street, Ile Ife as the Nigerian police force nearly had trouble with persons suspected to be hoodlums who nearly caused uproar.
According to eye witnesses, the police were alleged to have fired at the Youths who were in their numbers.
Armed with bottles, axe and other weapons, the police though not speaking officially explained that they got distress information of the youths getting unruly and dangerous. Upon being drafted to the scene, the youths were alleged to have vehicle windows which prompted the police to disperse them forcefully.
