Former CSP commits suicide

The families of Mr. David Agholor, former officer in charge of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Enugu state police command have been dejected as they grief over his demise.


The deceased was reported by Punch Metro to have  shot himself in the head in his residence on Sheraton Estate, Olaogun in Ijoko area of Ogun state.

Prior to that, he was described to been behaving oddly since wednesday evening but when asked about his countenance, claimed to be fine.

He however,  got up early in the morning on Thursday and greeted his wife in her bedroom. A suspicious impression could have been read as he took his bath, got well dressed_coperately as though he had an appointment but refused to answer when asked where he was going.

Thereafter,  the deceased called his eldest daughter whom he handed the keys of the house which neighbours another uncompleted but roofed building, both erected on a plot of land.

According to the report of one of the bereaved, the deceased went into the uncompleted building and shortly after,  an alarming sound of gun shot was heard, where he was met in his pool of blood as he shot himself in the head.

The shocking scene caused a still in the area as the cause of the depression is still unknown,  although a source reported that the deceased received a call on Wednesday evening which caused a change in his demeanor

The Public Relation Officer of police command in Ogun State, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the suicide this morning and assured that investigation would be carried out.
