Malabu Scandal: House Of Reps.Summon Ex-President Jonathan

The House of Representatives has summoned the immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan to testify in the ongoing investigations into the Malabu oil deal.

Ex-president Jonathan was invited by the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating allegations of corruption, malpractices, and breach of due process in the award of oil prospecting licence, OPL 245, otherwise known as Malabu oil scandal.

It will be recalled in April, the Chairman of the  ad-hoc panel probing the contract of Oil Prospecting License (OPL) 245, Razak Atunwa, said his committee would invite Mr. Jonathan to assist in the ongoing investigation of the Malabu oil deal. Atunwa’s statement came a day after Jonathan dismissed reports that he received the sum of $200m as kick-back from the Malabu oil deal.
